And yet another amazing wedding today!!! You might have heard of the world famous wrestler Carson Kuhn ... National Champ, three state championships (undefeated all three years), USA world team. Well, it looks like someone finally took him out... Kara Smack.
I filmed Carson twelve years ago in his neighbors wedding video (his sister went on to marry the bride's brother) and he still remember that video and had several special requests to have put in the film - try to guess what they are :).
Both Carson and Kara served missions and wanted their mission name badges in the film and Kara surprised Carson with some patriotic shoes for the first look - so lot's of little details to make their wedding film unique to them.
Caron's uncle Nathan Ivie was so great to shoot with and is just an awesome guy. Check out his work at http://www.nathaniviephotography.com/
This song from www.themusicbed.com was just perfect for them! "You Are Mine feat. Spencer Combs & Holley Maher" by Secret Nation
Matt and Sarah have been dating nine years and it looks like it was worth the wait :). Super emotional first look and one of the most gorgeous days of the fall - everything was just perfect!
Matt is a photographer (www.mattchristensenphotography.com) so we go way back shooting weddings together and it was so nice to hang out with great friends, including Kelly Sansom from www.galleryphotography.com who is one of the funnest photographers out there. Always a party :)
The song "All This Time" fits perfectly to their long journey. Licensed via www.songfreedom.com.
Since today is the official wedding day..... enjoy their pre wedding film :)
The rain came but as we stuck through it, we captured some amazing shots. Life sure can be that way :). If you feel times are tough just know you are on the edge of blessings greater than you can imagine. Tyler and Natalie are two people that I sincerely admire and I'm so grateful to have been there on such a blessed day :). Congrats you two!!!
People ask me if I get burned out shooting weddings for the past 13 years.
It's just the opposite. That's what has kept me young.
How can you get tired of seeing the look on a couples face when they see each other for the first time in their wedding attire? It reaffirms that there is still hope, love and goodness in this crazy world of ours.

Jacki loves candids and wanted something a little different, so that's what we captured! Easy to film a bride when she's a photographer (http://jackistoddard.blogspot.com/) and knows what she wants. What's even better is that she trusts the professionals she's hired and we really had so much fun. Today was just about perfect - 55 degrees in February sounds great to me!!!
What you see on the outside isn't always the full story. The wedding video shows a beautiful couple having the time of their lives. Jacki's mother died from breast cancer and her father was killed in an accident (that's why you don't see them in the video) and Andi had food poisoning so we had to stop filming several times for him to try and throw up (that's why there are a bunch of shots of Jacki by herself.) Jacki & Andy could have focused on the negative yesterday, but instead chose happiness with the cards they had been dealt. They chose the song "Good Life" because that's what they make it. Remember - what you focus on expands, so focus on what you want. Hats off to Andy and Jacki!
Special shout out to Abbey from akstudiodesign.com. She was so great to work with today and took some amazing images they had up at the reception. In fact, people were asking if we were a team. Great to work with vendors who are professional and want to help others succeed so the bride can get what she wants. Thanks!
