Meet the Jennings
Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 11:36PM Oh how I love, Love, LOVE the Jennings. Last night they invited my family over for dinner and it was just like a family reunion. Little Drew had the time of his life playing with the dog as we all sat around and enjoyed each others company.
Well let's make a few introductions...

It all started August of 2004. Kristi and Phil were my fabulous introduction to the Jennings clan... and oh what a night the reception was! Talk about being reminded why I love my job. Now this was fun!

Jump three years to 2007 when Tyler and Rachel were sealed in the Mesa Temple. Since Rachel's mother wasn't aware of the new type of wedding films available she decided to skip having the day recorded. Vicki Jennings (my beloved adopted mom) jumped in and said they would take care of hiring a wedding filmmaker and promptly called me. Of course I was soooo excited to came hang with the party again.
After watching their wedding film, Rachel's mom called Vicki and said "When my next daughter gets engaged, the first call I'm making is to David Perry to be sure he is available. In fact, I'm calling him before I call the reception center!"

And just last month was Jamie and Nick's turn to take the plunge. It was like filming my sister's wedding. I felt so proud of Jamie and how she has blossomed into such a beautiful and noble woman... and she still has the moves! I really love how her film captured the fun yet sensitive side of their relationship.

But wait... there's more to come. Stay tuned for the next wedding coming up in May at the St. George Temple! I just can't get enough of my second family so luckily we still have a couple more weddings to go. However, Phil and Kristi's little girl is so incredibly adorable that I think I'll have plenty to film in the years to come.
Love you guys and let's keep it rockin'!

I absolutely love, love, LOVE Jamie and Nick's video. I am an avid follower of David Perry Films, in fact I've probably seen every video on this blog; but this one tops them all. Incredible.
David- You are the MAN! Can't wait for the reception video so my wife can really show off her dancin' moves! If any of you are looking at this page wondering whether or not to hire David to film your special day, let me make this one suggestion. GO WITH DAVID PERRY!! Your wedding day is too important not too!
Thanks Annie! I really had so much fun filming Jamie and Nick's wedding and I am so pleased with how it turned out. What an awesome family!!
Nick - Thanks for the kind words. It will be so cool to show your kids this someday and then they will actually 'get it' about your wedding day without you saying a word. Congrats!!
Hi David ,
That up-side down shot on Nick and Jamie's, looked awesome even from here... "Down Under" ... Just thought I'd let you know everyone down here loved, Loved, LOVED... the DVD. I'm off to NZ tomorrow to show the NZ relatives. Hope you had fun in CA
Thanks again,
Vicki
Vicki,
I'm so jealous! I would love to be in NZ right now! I'm so happy that everyone loved the DVD over there. Maybe it will motivate someone to fly me over (wink, wink). ;)
Wow! Kristi and Phil's video is so beautiful and fun! I love your work! When i get married the first person i'm going to call is you.
Thanks Maddy. Kristi and Phil know how to throw a party. A few months later they were at my wedding reception keeping my party rockin! Gotta love em!
I love the Jennings too!! :) and I'll forever be indebted to Rach and Ty for introducing me to you. Because Steven and I LOVE our video. Thank you thank you thank you David! It's awesome! And we feel pretty awesome being in Latter-day Bride. thanks again!
Wendy,
Thanks for inviting me all the way to Minnesota for your wedding. It was just incredible and I'll post some more of your work here on my blog. It was so great that you had me come film all of your formal shots before the reception. Typically couples don't think about having me there for the family shots prior to the reception and that is the best time of the entire day to ensure that the important people make it on the video. But on your video we have all the family members, nieces, nephews and grandparents - all dressed in their wedding attire and looking great. Loved being there and love how the video worked out. Thanks again.
