Sadi and Travis
Part of the job description for being a wedding videographer is that you must take any given location on any given day at any given time and make it into a truly great video... all within a few short hours. Now that's a challenge, so hats off to all wedding videographers everywhere.
However, if you really want a video that comes closer to a Hollywood production, you should do what they do in Hollywood - have control over the location, date and time of the shoot. So, that is what we did with Sadi and Travis. We shot this video at an amazing location (Red Butte Gardens) on a day prior to their wedding (November 6) at the perfect time of day for lighting (just before sunset). So, notice in this video the use of light and the varied shots of the location.
Tips for the best possible video:
1. Get a bridal or pre wedding video shot before the wedding day.
2. Plan your sealing time either early morning or later afternoon for best lighting.
3. Plan adequate time for your wedding. Your luncheon should not be within three hours of your sealing time.
4. Make sure you have at least 20 minutes for videography once your photographer is done at the temple.
I have produced great videos with several of the above items missing, but I have found that the better you follow those four steps, the better the odds that you are going to get an amazing wedding video like this one:
