What an amazing year!

Wow! 2007 came close to being the best year of my life.. second only to 2004, the year I married Danielle.

- Our first child Andrew was born on Mother's day

- We built a new home

- My film on International Adoption was featured at the U.N. conference in December

- I actually got a press pass to the U.N. (tougher to do than you think)

- This was my first year going after any major awards and I bagged a couple:

  1 WEVA Gold for Post Ceremony

  2 AVA Awards

  3 Telly Awards

  4 DV Awards

  5 Aurora Awards (4 Best of Show) 

  5 Pegasus Awards (Runner up for Overall Best of Show)

  9 UPVA 1st Place Awards

- I also received recognition for my documentary films

  WEVA Community Service Award

  2007 Best of State, Utah - Documentary Films

- I was elected President of my local videographer's association

- I took my family to film a week long wedding event in Guatemala

  I don't know how many little boys have been to the top of a live volcano when they are only 3 months old.. but Drew has

- I met some AMAZING videographers from around the world

- I shot my highest number of weddings in a month - twenty in June

- I had a record number of hits on my website - over 1.5 million this year

- I was blessed to be able to produce a video for a man who died of cancer. It highlighted some of his wonderful memories in life and it brought him joy and some small relief during his suffering before his death. I am so thankful that God blessed me with the opportunity to make a difference like that in somone else's life and when I look back on my life this will be one of those things that will humble me and also make me smile. Way more important than any award or paycheck.
